Edwardian 48.84 Carat Natural Grey Star Sapphire Pendant, circa 1910

The most incredible star sapphire pendant. The rare, oversized sapphire - certified as natural and unheated - is a lightish blueish grey and displays slight asterism. The stone is secured in a very pretty platinum setting with wired scroll detailing in the gallery, and hangs from a 'V' shaped bale pavé set with seventeen eight-cut diamonds. A impressive and highly individual piece.
